Legal News!
Bill 1051, initiated by King's Product Development, has successfully passed through the Indiana legislature! When employing a third axle on a vehicle, the law in many places requires that you file for a fuel permit and abide by associated regulation. King's Product Development has actively been working to have this requirement lifted when the vehicle is used solely for personal use. You can follow the bill's progress listed below:
February 14, 2007
     - KPD attended Congressional Hearing regarding Bill 1051
- Digest of House Bill 1051
March 14, 2007
     - KPD attended a Department of Transportation meeting to discuss Bill 1051
March 20, 2007
     - PASSED! Yeas 9, Nays 0.
- Journal of Senate
We would like to extend a special thanks to Indiana State Representative Dave Crooks for his outstanding efforts in getting this bill passed. Thank you!
What does House Bill 1051 mean to you?
House Bill 1051 exempts personal use of a truckler from the commercial requirements of INDOT regulations. More simply said, within the State of Indiana, purchasing a truckler for personal use only, does not require the purchase and maintenance of INDOT license and stickers. You can drive and haul personal items with your Truckler without the cost and hassle of commercial regulations. The key to knowing if you are legal for personal use, NOT HAULING FOR HIRE
Hobbies like weekend racing, antique tractors, camping, RV's, motorcycles, are all fun uses to haul more with your TRUCKLER.
Kings Product Development is lobbing in other states for the same representation of personal use TRUCKLERS
Kings Product Development will provide you with a printed version, House Bill 1051 confirmation upon completion of your TRUCKLER for evidence should you ever be questioned.
A word of caution Kings Product development will not support hauling for hire without legal recognition from the state in which you are traveling.
